Concierge Therapy for Successful Men

Concierge therapy is a private, flexible, high-access form of counseling designed for successful men who want greater access, focused time, and more flexibility than traditional weekly therapy can provide.

Mark Odland, MA, LMFT, MDiv, provides concierge therapy for high-achieving men who value their time and want a focused, highly personalized approach to meaningful change. Work with Mark can be arranged in person in Duluth, Minnesota, online when appropriate, or through a private destination intensive where Mark travels to you.

Priority scheduling, concentrated time, and greater flexibility allow therapy to be structured around the realities of a demanding life— not the other way around.

What is Concierge Therapy?

Concierge therapy is a more personalized, flexible, and high-access form of counseling designed for high-achieving men whose schedules, responsibilities, or goals do not fit neatly into the traditional once-a-week therapy model.

For men with demanding lives, concierge therapy offers greater flexibility, priority scheduling, and the ability to reserve concentrated blocks of time for focused therapeutic work. This can make it possible to build momentum without stretching important work across months of brief, weekly sessions.

Sessions with Mark Odland may take place in person in Duluth, Minnesota, online when appropriate, or through a Destination Concierge Intensive in which Mark travels to you. This allows therapy to be structured around your circumstances while maintaining the privacy, professionalism, and clinical boundaries of psychotherapy.

Concierge therapy may be a good fit for men navigating stress, burnout, trauma, relationship difficulties, anger, grief, or recurring patterns that continue to affect their lives despite success in other areas. The goal is not simply to manage symptoms, but to understand and address what is driving them beneath the surface.

Mark’s services are private-pay only. This means no insurance headaches, no diagnosis, and discrete record-keeping. With Lion Counseling, your privacy is respected and safeguarded.

Meet Mark Odland: Your Concierge Therapist

With more than 15 years of experience and over 15,000 therapy sessions conducted, Mark Odland, MA, LMFT, MDiv, specializes in helping high-achieving men address the problems that success alone cannot solve.

Mark is a Certified EMDR Therapist and EMDRIA Approved Consultant with extensive experience treating trauma, chronic stress, burnout, grief, relationship difficulties, anger, and recurring patterns that continue to interfere with life, leadership, and relationships.

For clients who desire it, Mark also integrates a Christian, faith-based perspective into treatment.

Advanced Expertise. Personal Understanding

Mark’s work extends beyond providing psychotherapy. As an EMDRIA-Approved Consultant and continuing education provider, he helps other therapists around the world develop their skills in trauma treatment and EMDR. He is also an author, educator, and host of the Lion Counseling Podcast.

Mark brings another perspective to his work with successful men: he understands that achievement does not insulate someone from pressure at home, difficult relationships, grief, trauma, or the weight of responsibility. As a husband and father of four, he understands many of these competing demands personally as well as professionally.

His approach combines advanced trauma treatment with an understanding of the pressures faced by men who are accustomed to carrying significant responsibility—and who may have very little space in their lives devoted to themselves.

Why Choose Concierge Therapy with Mark?

Therapy is focused on addressing what is happening beneath the surface—not simply managing the outward symptoms.

Priority Access & Focused Time: Concierge clients receive priority scheduling, greater flexibility, and the ability to reserve substantial blocks of time for focused therapeutic work rather than relying solely on traditional weekly appointments.

When clinically appropriate, treatment may take place in a private home office, executive office, or another mutually agreed-upon confidential setting.

The Benefits of Concierge Therapy

The Benefits of Concierge Therapy

Concierge therapy gives high-achieving men greater flexibility and access to meaningful therapeutic work without requiring their lives to fit neatly into the traditional weekly therapy model.

  • Greater Flexibility: Structure therapy around a demanding schedule through priority scheduling, longer sessions, concentrated treatment blocks, and greater flexibility in when and where you meet.

  • More Privacy & Discretion: Work through personal concerns in a private professional setting, with options designed to accommodate clients for whom confidentiality and discretion are especially important.

  • Focused Time: Reserve substantial blocks of uninterrupted time to work on important issues without repeatedly stopping at the end of a traditional therapy hour.

  • Concentrated Momentum: When clinically appropriate, intensive work allows you to devote several hours—or several consecutive days—to a specific therapeutic focus rather than spreading the work across many weeks.

  • Work Beneath the Surface: Move beyond simply managing symptoms to better understand and address the experiences, beliefs, emotions, and patterns that may be driving them.

  • Stronger Relationships: Improve how you communicate, connect, set boundaries, and respond under pressure in your marriage, family, work, and other important relationships.

  • Greater Stability & Resilience: Develop greater emotional steadiness, self-awareness, and capacity to respond intentionally when life, leadership, or relationships become difficult.

Concierge EMDR Intensive

Three Days of Focused, Individualized EMDR Treatment

For clients who want to step outside the traditional weekly therapy model, the Concierge EMDR Intensive provides three consecutive days reserved for concentrated therapeutic work with Mark.

Concierge EMDR Intensive — Duluth, Minnesota | $10,000

  • Up to 12 Hours of Individual EMDR Therapy: Three consecutive days of focused treatment, with up to four clinical hours reserved each day. The pace and structure of treatment are guided by clinical appropriateness rather than a promise of a specific outcome.
  • Priority Scheduling & Reserved Access: Concierge clients receive priority consideration for scheduling, including the ability to reserve substantial blocks of Mark’s clinical calendar and, when possible, arrange an intensive on an accelerated timeline.
  • Enhanced Flexibility & Coordination: Greater flexibility is available around daily scheduling, preparation, logistics, and follow-up so the intensive can be structured around the client’s individual circumstances.
  • Direct Concierge Communication: Clients receive access to Mark’s dedicated concierge contact for appropriate communication and coordination surrounding the intensive.

The Duluth Concierge Intensive takes place at Mark’s private office in Duluth, Minnesota. Clients arrange their own transportation and accommodations.

Destination Concierge EMDR Intensive — Starting at $15,000

For clients who prefer not to travel, Mark can bring the Concierge EMDR Intensive to you when legally and clinically appropriate.

The Destination Concierge Intensive includes the benefits of the Concierge Intensive above, along with standard domestic clinician travel and accommodations. Mark handles his own travel arrangements and logistics so the client does not need to coordinate flights, lodging, or local transportation.

Treatment may take place in a private home office, executive office, or another mutually agreed-upon confidential setting when clinically and professionally appropriate. If a separate professional treatment space is necessary, Mark can coordinate an appropriate location.

Destination Concierge Intensives begin at $15,000. Certain destinations, unusual travel requirements, premium accommodations, international travel, or other extraordinary circumstances may require a customized fee discussed in advance.

Start With A Complimentary 30-Minute Call

Concierge therapy is designed for clients who are ready to engage seriously in the work and value a focused, highly personalized approach.

The first step is a complimentary 30-minute Clarity Call with Mark. This is an opportunity to briefly discuss what is bringing you to therapy, what you hope to accomplish, and whether a Concierge EMDR Intensive or another approach may be a good fit.

The Clarity Call is not a therapy or intake session. You do not need to share the details of difficult or traumatic experiences. If you and Mark decide to move forward, a more thorough assessment and preparation process will take place before treatment begins.

Use the link below to schedule your Clarity Call. If you would prefer to contact Lion Counseling directly, call (561) 463-5466 or email contact@escapethecagenow.com.

Frequently Asked Questions: Concierge Therapy

Concierge therapy can take place at Mark’s private office in Duluth, Minnesota, or—through a Destination Concierge Intensive—Mark can travel to you when legally and clinically appropriate.

When Mark travels to you, sessions may take place in a private home office, executive office, or another mutually agreed-upon professional setting that provides appropriate privacy, confidentiality, safety, and freedom from interruption.

Mark handles his own travel and accommodations. If a separate private treatment space is needed, Lion Counseling can help coordinate an appropriate location so you do not have to manage the therapist’s travel or logistical arrangements.

Mark is currently licensed to provide psychotherapy in Florida, Indiana, Minnesota, Nevada, South Dakota, and Texas. He may also provide limited services in certain other states when permitted by that state’s laws; for example, Arizona allows qualifying out-of-state behavioral health professionals to practice for a limited number of days each year under specific conditions.

Because psychotherapy laws vary by state and can change, Lion Counseling will confirm that Mark is legally authorized to provide treatment in the location where you will physically be during your sessions.

If Mark is not authorized to practice in your state, you may travel to his office in Duluth, Minnesota for treatment. For Destination Concierge Intensives, another option may be to meet in a state where Mark is authorized to practice.

No therapist can ethically guarantee a particular outcome, and Mark will never promise that a specific problem will be resolved within a certain number of sessions or during a three-day intensive.

What Mark does commit to is bringing his experience, preparation, clinical judgment, and focused attention to the work. Concierge therapy provides the time, flexibility, and structure to engage important issues in a concentrated way, but each person’s history, circumstances, and response to treatment are different.

Before beginning an intensive, Mark will also assess whether this format appears appropriate for your needs. If he does not believe an intensive is clinically appropriate, he will tell you—even if you are ready to move forward.

Yes. Because Concierge EMDR Intensives require multiple consecutive days to be reserved specifically for you, a 50% reservation payment is required when your intensive dates are confirmed. The remaining balance is due 14 days before the first day of your intensive.

If you need to change your plans more than 14 days before the intensive, your reservation payment may be transferred one time to mutually agreed-upon alternative dates.

Within 14 days of the intensive, the full package fee is nonrefundable because the clinical time has been specifically reserved and, for Destination Concierge Intensives, travel and other arrangements may already have been made.

In the event of a genuine illness or emergency, Mark will make reasonable efforts to work with you on rescheduling when possible. Specific cancellation, illness, and rescheduling terms are provided in the Concierge EMDR Intensive Agreement before your dates are finalized.

Not every therapy experience is the right fit. Some men come to Mark after previous therapy felt too surface-level, moved too slowly, lacked a clear focus, or simply was not a good fit with the therapist.

Concierge therapy and EMDR intensives offer a different structure. Rather than limiting the work to a traditional weekly therapy hour, longer and more concentrated sessions can provide time to explore important issues without repeatedly having to stop just as meaningful work is developing.

Previous therapy that was not helpful does not mean that a different therapist, treatment approach, or format will necessarily produce a different outcome. A complimentary Clarity Call with Mark can help determine whether his approach—and an intensive format in particular—may be a good fit for what you are hoping to address.

For some men, the traditional once-a-week model can feel too limited or difficult to maintain alongside demanding professional and personal responsibilities.

Concierge therapy offers greater flexibility, priority access, longer sessions, and the option for concentrated blocks of treatment. This allows important therapeutic work to continue for longer periods without repeatedly stopping at the end of a traditional therapy hour.

For the right client, this structure can provide greater continuity and momentum while allowing therapy to fit more naturally into a demanding life. It is not necessarily better than traditional weekly therapy—it is a different approach designed for clients who may benefit from greater flexibility and concentrated time.

Concierge therapy may be a good fit if you value privacy, flexibility, focused time, and greater access than the traditional weekly therapy model typically provides.

It can be especially well suited for executives, entrepreneurs, physicians, attorneys, athletes, and other high-achieving men with demanding schedules or significant responsibilities who want to engage seriously in therapeutic work without unnecessarily stretching it across months of brief appointments.

For an EMDR intensive specifically, fit also depends on your individual needs, history, goals, and readiness for concentrated treatment. A complimentary Clarity Call is the first step, followed by a more thorough assessment before an intensive is scheduled.
