Concierge counseling is a private, flexible, high-access form of counseling designed for successful men who want greater access, focused time, and more flexibility than traditional weekly counseling can provide.

He works especially well with men struggling with pornography addiction and other compulsive behaviors, anger, chronic stress, and burnout. Zack draws from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Christian counseling can also be incorporated for men who want their faith to be part of the process.

What is Concierge Counseling?

Concierge counseling is a more personalized, flexible, and high-access form of counseling designed for high-achieving men whose schedules, responsibilities, or goals do not fit neatly into the traditional once-a-week counseling model.

For men with demanding lives, concierge counseling offers greater flexibility, priority scheduling, and the option to reserve extended blocks of time for more focused work. This can make it easier to address important concerns without trying to fit everything into a traditional 50-minute weekly appointment.

Zack Carter provides in-person concierge counseling in Parrish, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, and surrounding areas of Florida, generally within approximately 30 minutes of Parrish. Rather than requiring you to travel to a traditional counseling office, sessions can be arranged at an appropriate private location convenient to you. This allows counseling to be structured around your circumstances while maintaining the privacy, professionalism, and boundaries of psychotherapy.

Concierge counseling may be especially helpful for men struggling with pornography addiction or other compulsive behaviors, anger, chronic stress, burnout, relationship difficulties, or patterns that continue to interfere with life despite success in other areas. Zack incorporates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and can integrate a Christian perspective when desired.

Zack’s concierge services are private-pay only, providing greater flexibility without the constraints that can accompany insurance-based care. Lion Counseling is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your care and records with discretion.

Meet Zack Carter: Your Concierge Counselor

With a Master of Science in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling and a background in both counseling and coaching, Zack Carter specializes in helping men make practical, meaningful changes in the areas of life where they feel stuck.

Zack has particular experience helping men overcome pornography addiction and other compulsive behaviors, as well as anger, chronic stress, burnout, relationship difficulties, and patterns that interfere with consistency, performance, and personal integrity. His approach draws heavily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while incorporating principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), neuroscience, addiction recovery, and behavior change.

Before becoming a counselor, Zack served as a college pastor and life coach, giving him a unique understanding of the intersection between mental health, relationships, personal responsibility, and faith. For clients who desire it, Zack can thoughtfully integrate a Christian, faith-based perspective into counseling.

His style is practical, direct, and forward-focused. The goal isn’t simply to talk about what’s wrong, but to understand the patterns keeping you stuck and develop a realistic path toward lasting change.

Advanced Expertise. Personal Understanding

Zack’s work extends beyond traditional psychotherapy. His background includes specialized work with addiction and compulsive behaviors, particularly pornography addiction, along with advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and an interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). He also brings previous experience as a pastor and life coach, giving him a broad perspective on the emotional, behavioral, relational, and spiritual challenges men face.

Zack understands that outward success does not always reflect what is happening privately. Men who are capable, driven, and dependable in other areas of life can still find themselves struggling with compulsive behaviors, anger, chronic stress, burnout, or relationships that are beginning to suffer. These problems can be especially difficult when a man is accustomed to being the person others depend on.

His approach combines evidence-based counseling with practical strategies, accountability, and an understanding of the pressures men carry. Zack helps clients identify what is driving unhealthy patterns, develop concrete tools for change, and move toward a life that is more consistent with their values.

For men who want their faith included in counseling, Zack’s pastoral background also allows him to integrate a Christian perspective in a natural and clinically appropriate way.

The Benefits of Concierge Therapy

The Benefits of Concierge Therapy

Concierge therapy gives successful men greater flexibility and access to meaningful counseling work without requiring their lives to fit neatly into the traditional weekly counseling model.

  • Greater Flexibility: Structure counseling around a demanding schedule through priority scheduling, longer sessions, concentrated treatment blocks, and greater flexibility in when and where you meet.

  • Focused Time: Reserve substantial blocks of uninterrupted time to work on important issues without repeatedly stopping at the end of a traditional counseling hour.

  • Concentrated Momentum: When clinically appropriate, intensive work allows you to devote several hours—or several consecutive days—to a specific counseling focus rather than spreading the work across many weeks.

  • Work Beneath the Surface: Move beyond simply managing symptoms to better understand and address the experiences, beliefs, emotions, and patterns that may be driving them.

  • Stronger Relationships: Improve how you communicate, connect, set boundaries, and respond under pressure in your marriage, family, work, and other important relationships.

Start With A Complimentary 30-Minute Call

Concierge counseling is designed for clients who are ready to engage seriously in the work and value a focused, highly personalized approach.

The first step is a complimentary 30-minute Clarity Call with Zack. This is an opportunity to briefly discuss what is bringing you to counseling, what you hope to accomplish, and whether a Concierge Counseling or another approach may be a good fit.

The Clarity Call is not a counseling or intake session. You do not need to share all the details of your situation. If you and Zack decide to move forward, a more thorough assessment and preparation process will take place before treatment begins.

Use the link below to schedule your Clarity Call. If you would prefer to contact Lion Counseling directly, call (561) 463-5466 or email contact@escapethecagenow.com.

Frequently Asked Questions: Concierge Therapy

In-person Concierge Counseling can take place at a mutually agreed upon location. When Zack travels to you, sessions may take place in a private home office, executive office, or another mutually agreed-upon professional setting that provides appropriate privacy, confidentiality, safety, and freedom from interruption. Zack also offers walk-and-talk sessions outdoors as a creative alternative.

As of November, 2026, Zack is licensed to provide counseling in Florida. He may also provide limited services in certain other states when permitted by that state’s laws; for example, Arizona allows qualifying out-of-state behavioral health professionals to practice for a limited number of days each year under specific conditions.

Because psychotherapy laws vary by state and can change, Lion Counseling will confirm that Zack is legally authorized to provide treatment in the location where you will physically be during your sessions..

No counselor can ethically guarantee a particular outcome, and Zack will never promise that a specific problem will be resolved within a certain number of sessions or during a concierge intensive.

What Zack does commit to is bringing his experience, preparation, clinical judgment, and focused attention to the work. Concierge therapy provides the time, flexibility, and structure to engage important issues in a concentrated way, but each person’s history, circumstances, and response to treatment are different.

Before beginning an intensive, Zack will also assess whether this format appears appropriate for your needs. If he does not believe an intensive is clinically appropriate, he will tell you—even if you are ready to move forward.

Yes. Scheduled Concierge Intensives must be canceled with at least 48 hours notice in order to avoid being charged the full session rate. This acknowledges the fact that in order to hold your spot and account for travel time, Zack must block off his schedule, thereby depriving other clients of availability. With concierge counseling, you are not only paying for the service, but the priority scheduling and access.

In the event of a genuine illness or emergency, Zack will make reasonable efforts to work with you on rescheduling when possible.

Not every counseling experience is the right fit. Some men come to Zack after previous counseling felt too surface-level, moved too slowly, lacked a clear focus, or simply was not a good fit with the therapist.

Concierge therapy and intensives offer a different structure. Rather than limiting the work to a traditional weekly therapy hour, longer and more concentrated sessions can provide time to explore important issues without repeatedly having to stop just as meaningful work is developing.

Previous therapy that was not helpful does not mean that a different counselor, treatment approach, or format will necessarily produce a different outcome. A complimentary Clarity Call with Zack can help determine whether his approach—and an intensive format in particular—may be a good fit for what you are hoping to address.

For some men, the traditional once-a-week model can feel too limited or difficult to maintain alongside demanding professional and personal responsibilities.

Concierge counseling offers greater flexibility, priority access, longer sessions, and the option for concentrated blocks of treatment. This allows important therapeutic work to continue for longer periods without repeatedly stopping at the end of a traditional counseling hour.

For the right client, this structure can provide greater continuity and momentum while allowing therapy to fit more naturally into a demanding life. It is not necessarily better than traditional weekly counseling—it is a different approach designed for clients who may benefit from greater flexibility and concentrated time.

Concierge counseling may be a good fit if you value privacy, flexibility, focused time, and greater access than the traditional weekly counseling model typically provides.

It can be especially well suited for executives, entrepreneurs, physicians, attorneys, athletes, and other high-achieving men with demanding schedules or significant responsibilities who want to engage seriously in therapeutic work without unnecessarily stretching it across months of brief appointments.

For concierge counseling specifically, fit also depends on your individual needs, history, goals, and readiness for concentrated treatment. A complimentary Clarity Call is the first step, followed by a more thorough assessment before an intensive is scheduled.
